The management of National Open University (NOUN) Makurdi study centre, Benue is at loggerheads with one of its graduates, Kellman Nomhwange over non-release of his examination result .
Kellman Nomhwange studied Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution at the NOUN Makurdi study centre as a pioneer student .
In a petition he wrote to ICPC and Public Complaints Commission offices in Makurdi, obtained by The Nation , the graduate called on the agencies to prevail on NOUN to compute his result and issued scores .Nomwhange said after the final examination, his name was among those who graduated in 2012. However, he has had to write about seven letters to the NOUN Makurdi centre manager, Vice Chancellor NOUN, the National Universities Commission (NOUN) demanding for the computing of his result with no positive outcome.
He said the result include that of 10 core courses in his field of study and if not computed, there was no way he would further His studies or pursue his masters degree programme .
“Even though officials of the NOUN Makurdi centre were invited and they appeared before the Public Complaint commission in Malurdi and promised to go and compute his scores, nothing has happened.
He threatened to go to court if nothing was done before the end of this year.
After several visits to the NOUN Makurdi Centre along Makurdi – Otukpo road to know their side of story, an administrative staff who pleaded anonymity said even though they were invited by PCC over the matter, there was little they could do in Makurdi and therefore referred our reporter to Abuja .
He said the matter is being handled at NOUN headquarters and very soon his result would be computed and issued to him.

‘Don’t hike VAT, reduce cost of governance’ President Muhammadu Buhari has been urged not to hike the VAT from 5% to 7.5%  as proposed in the interest of the teaming poor masses of Nigeria.
